Type of venue

The Qatar National Convention Center is one of the most advanced event complexes in the Middle East, offering space for conferences, exhibitions, cultural events and large-scale performances.
The three main halls can accommodate up to 7,000 participants, distributed across an auditorium with 2,500 seats, a 500-seat theatre, and a multipurpose hall with 4,000 seats. In addition, the centre features smaller halls for banquets and meetings, as well as a 15,000 m² exhibition area and extensive infrastructure.
Waagner-Biro Stage Systems was responsible for the full stage engineering package, including the design, supply and installation of a highly complex upper and lower stage machinery system. The upper stage area is equipped with a wide range of motorised fly bar hoists, lighting bridges, speaker systems, projection screens, curtain drives and a fire safety curtain.
The lower stage machinery features mobile orchestra seating wagons, audience platforms and two large orchestra elevators. A dedicated sound cockpit lift completes the configuration.
All systems are operated via C⋅A⋅T V4 control system.
