Type of venue

Yerevan is not only a cultural destination for opera and ballet lovers – music enthusiasts will also find inspiration in the Armenian capital.
A central highlight is the Aram Khachaturian Philharmonic Concert Hall, known for its elegant architecture and vibrant musical life. Each year, the round concert venue attracts a wide audience of music lovers.
Only a year after the successful renovation of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Waagner-Biro Stage Systems was entrusted with another prestigious project in Armenia. In 2014, the company was awarded the contract to refurbish the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, named after one of the Soviet Union’s most prominent composers. Waagner-Biro Stage Systems was responsible for the modernisation of the upper stage machinery, which included seven electro-mechanical hoists, as well as the delivery of various components for the orchestra, choir and auditorium. The project was completed in the summer of 2015.
