Podlaska Opera

Within a green area the huge Opera Podlaska is attracting attention due to its architectural uniqueness and huge size.

However, the opera house in Bialystok is not only an opera house but plays also an important role for the fusion of Western and Eastern culture. And what’s more, the Opera Podlaska is an important piece of the plan to establish Bialystok as the commercial, cultural and intellectual hub of the region.
For these reasons, Waagner-Biro Stage Systems was happy to work together with a Polish partner (under the leadership of LTT) and supplied the stage equipment of the opera house in Bialystok.

The high expectations, which come with this unique and specific opera house, are reflected in the stage equipment specifications entrusted to Waagner-Biro Stage Systems. The company was responsible for the entire lower stage equipment, which consists of four two-level elevating platforms, orchestra platforms, a bridge-trolley and a turntable trolley. In addition, many winches for the upper stage and the C⋅A⋅T control system was supplied. An important contribution to achieve the project’s aim of creating an impressive cultural centre was done by installing the upper and lower stage machinery.
