Waagner-Biro Stage Systems was awarded the contract to replace the existing control system with the advanced C⋅A⋅T V5 control system. In addition, the upper machinery was updated with the integration of existing point lifts.

Until 1788, theater performances were also held in the building, whereupon the Royal Dramatic Theater was founded. This created a clear separation between theater and opera, and the building was renamed the Royal Opera House.
Waagner Biro Stage Systems was awarded the contract to replace the existing control system with the advanced C⋅A⋅T V5 control system. In addition, the upper machinery was updated with the integration of existing point elevators.
The construction phase began in May 2020 and was successfully completed by November 2020. This rapid realization in just 6 months enabled the integration of 109 axes into the C⋅A⋅T V5 control system.
